McGurk's hot dog army attacks school to abduct Chef McHound

i_b14_09 Book 14

What happened

McGurk, revealed as the mastermind behind the thefts, used the stolen FLEM99 (powered by the stolen Fury Liquid and Echo Magnets) to transform his hot dogs into a living army. He then marched his hot dog army, accompanied by Mole Scallywags and Devil-Cat, straight in through the main entrance of Swedhump Elementary to abduct Chef McHound. Dash and Rob used a Backpack Ladder to reach the Hot Dog building. The team deployed Defence Move 44 around Chef McHound, giving her time to dive into a pot. Mayonnaise was levitated and deployed via Lev-27/bs and tubes, which drove off the scallywags but attracted the hot dogs. McGurk was unmasked. The hot dogs, having been affected by Ellen's plan (Dash had secretly swapped the FLEM99 labels, so McGurk was using the faulty device), began turning into potatoes and fled. Devil-Cat bolted in fright. McGurk then tried to transform himself into a monster using the FLEM99, but instead turned into a large cucumber.

extraction note Ellen's plan (swapping the FLEM99 labels so McGurk would use the faulty device) is explained retrospectively in Chapter 12; the plan was set in motion during Chapter 7 (Dash ran back to class while Rob and Ellen went to Mayonnaise Squirting).
